Arch. Cosimo Dell’Acqua is a prestigious professional of the functional restoration of numerous period residences in the South of Italy. He is a supporter of the protection of historical and architectural heritage and in his work he always takes care of details to get the perception of the best comfort.

For the residence he has decided to live in and he has designed for his guests, Cosimo has counted neither the pennies nor time creating a resort of comfort. Going back to the restoration, Cosimo has whitewashed the fronts with the original colours after an accurate research and the approval of the regional board of the ministry of environmental conservation. The internal walls have been coloured with non-toxic paint. Arch. Dell’Acqua has personally designed the furniture for the rooms using also antiques of the same period as the construction of the building and some pieces of furniture belonging to the period residence itself.

The works in iron and solid wood date back to the beginnings of ‘900. The restored doors of the rooms are all original. Parts of the original floor and columns of the arbour have been salvaged and reused.

When salvage was difficult or impossible the necessary elements have been reproduced on the basis of drawings or photos.

The lights of all rooms are suffused and evoke intimacy and rest.

The materials are first rate and the fittings always represent a mix of tradition and technological comfort.

Ultimately, nothing was left to chance.
